Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (hlu "make religious offering"). Luce adduces Old Chinese (OC *sŋaʔ, *sŋraʔ, “sacrificial grain”), Tibetan སྔོ (sngo, to dedicate) as cognates, though these seem phonetically problematic.[1]
