[edit]Borrowed from Burmese ယိုးဒယား (yui:da.ya:), from อยุธยา (à-yút-tá-yaa, “Ayutthaya”), Sanskrit अयुध्य (ayudhya, “impregnable; invincible; unconquerable; etc”). Doublet of อยุธยา (à-yút-tá-yaa).
