Etymology

Borrowed from Pali kālakaṇṇī, kāḷakaṇṇī (dawdler; idler; loafer), from Sanskrit कालकर्णि (kālakarṇi) (whence Thai กาลกรรณี). Cognate with Khmer កាឡកិណី (kaalkenəy).
