- (archaic) ചില്ലക്ഷരം (vowelless consonant) of consonant മ.
- This letter, like other chillus, never occurs as the first letter of any Malayalam word.
- ഹന്തുൔ (hantum, “to kill”) : /han̪t̪um/
- It's used instead of the ം if the succeeding word begins with a vowel
- It's also used at the end of sentence instead of ം
