[edit]Borrowed from Old Marathi 𑘨𑘰𑘜𑘲 (rāṇī) (compare Old Kannada ರಾಣಿಯ ವಾಸ (rāṇiya vāsa)), from Prakrit ರಾಣೀ (rāṇī), from Sanskrit ರಾಜ್ಞೀ (rā́jñī). Doublet of ರಾಜ್ಞಿ (rājñi).
