[edit]Inherited from Proto-Dravidian *korVnk- (“monkey”). Cogante with Malayalam കുരങ്ങ് (kuraṅṅŭ), Tamil குரங்கு (kuraṅku), Telugu క్రోతి (krōti), and Tulu ಕುರಂಗ (kuraṅga).
