[edit]Inherited from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀭𑀸𑀡𑀻 (rāṇī), from earlier 𑀭𑀸𑀡𑁆𑀡𑀻 (rāṇṇī), from even earlier *𑀭𑀸𑀜𑁆𑀜𑀻 (*rāññī), from Vedic Sanskrit রাজ্ঞী (rājñī). Doublet of রাজ্ঞী (rajni).
