Borrowed from Classical Persian موقع (mauqi', mauqa'), from Arabic مَوْقِع (mawqiʕ). Cognate with Hindi मौक़ा (mauqā), Ahirani मोक्या (mokyā), Marathi मोका (mokā), Gujarati મોકો (moko), Assamese মৌকা (mouka), Varhadi मोक्का (mokkā)
