Inherited from Prakrit 𑀓𑀁𑀥 (kaṃdha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀇𑀓𑀸- (-ikā-), from Sanskrit स्क॒न्ध (skandhá).[1] Doublet of কাঁধ (kãdh) and স্কন্ধ (skondho).
