Etymology

Verbalised from Prakrit *𑀉𑀓𑁆𑀔𑀟 (*ukkhaḍa, uprooted), from Sanskrit *उत्स्कृत (utskṛta), ultimately from the root कॄ (kṝ, to pour out).[1] Cognate with Hindi उखड़ना (ukhaṛnā, to be uprooted).
