Etymology

Derived from Sanskrit अकुमारी (akumārī). Structurally, from Tatpuruṣa compound of অ- (o-) +‎ কুমারী (kumari), or, by Bengali prefixation of অ- (o-) +‎ কুমারী (kumari), or alternatively, by Bengali suffixation অকুমার (okumar) +‎ -ঈ (-i).
