  1. Sudasa, son of either Pijavana or Divodasa, a leader of the Bharatas and the Tṛtsu tribes, who led them to victory in the Battle of the Ten Kings.
    • c. 1700 BCE – 1200 BCE, Ṛgveda 7.83.6:
      यु॒वां ह॑वन्त उ॒भया॑स आ॒जिष्विन्द्रं॑ च॒ वस्वो॒ वरु॑णं च सा॒तये॑।
      यत्र॒ राज॑भिर्द॒शभि॒र्निबा॑धितं॒ प्र सु॒दास॒म्आव॑तं॒ तृत्सु॑भिः स॒ह॥
      yuvā́ṃ havanta ubháyāsa ājíṣvíndraṃ ca vásvo váruṇaṃ ca sātáye.
      yátra rā́jabhirdaśábhirníbādhitaṃ prá sudā́samā́vataṃ tṛ́tsubhiḥ sahá.
      The men of both the hosts invoked you in the fight, Indra and Varuna, that they might win the wealth, that time you helped Sudāsa, with all the Trtsu folk, when the Ten Kings had pressed him down in their attack.
