Etymology
[edit]Of non-Indo-European substrate origin, possibly Proto-Dravidian *waẓVtV; compare Tamil வழுதலை (vaḻutalai), வழுதுணை (vaḻutuṇai), Malayalam വഴുതന (vaḻutana).[1][2]
