[edit]From Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀭𑀳𑀝𑁆𑀝 (rahaṭṭa), 𑀅𑀭𑀳𑀝𑁆𑀝 (arahaṭṭa), from Sanskrit अरघट्ट (araghaṭṭa, “wheel for raising water”).
