[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi मोकळ (mokaḷa), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀫𑁄𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀮 (mokkala), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *mukna. Cognate to Gujarati મોકળું (mokaḷũ), Hindi मोकला (moklā), Sindhi موڪِرو / मोकिरो (mokiro), Punjabi ਮੋਕਲਾ (moklā), Assamese মোকল (mükol), মুকলি (mukoli).
