Etymology

Borrowed from Punjabi ਭੁਰਜੀ (bhurjī), a Sanskritization of Prakrit 𑀪𑀼𑀚𑁆𑀚𑀺𑀬 (bhujjiya), ultimately from Sanskrit भृज्जति (bhṛjjati). Doublet of भूजी (bhūjī) and भुजिया (bhujiyā).
