[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘤𑘚𑘤𑘚𑘜𑘹 (baḍabaḍaṇe), Maharastri Prakrit 𑀩𑀟𑀩𑀟𑀇 (baḍabaḍaï, “laments”). Compare Gujarati બબડવું (babaḍvũ), Hindi बड़बड़ाना (baṛabṛānā).
