[edit]Inherited from Prakrit *𑀧𑀘𑁆𑀘𑀭 (*paccara), from Sanskrit *प्रत्यर (pratyara), from प्रति- (prati-, “around, beside”) + अर (ara, “spoke”).[1] Cognate with Maithili पच्चड़ (paccaṛ), Hindi पच्चर (paccar), Punjabi ਪੱਚਰ (paccar), Marathi पाचर (pācar).
