Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘢𑘨𑘪𑘚𑘲 (paravaḍī), 𑘢𑘨𑘲𑘪𑘚𑘲 (parīvaḍī), from Sanskrit परिपाठ (paripāṭha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀇𑀓𑀸- (-ikā-).
