[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘡𑘲𑘣𑘕𑘜𑘹 (nīphajaṇe) (compare 𑘡𑘲𑘣𑘡𑘜𑘹 (nīphanaṇe), 𑘡𑘲𑘣𑘡𑘿𑘡𑘜𑘹 (nīphannaṇe)), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀡𑀺𑀧𑁆𑀨𑀚𑁆𑀚𑀇 (ṇipphajjaï), from Sanskrit निष्पद्यते (niṣpadyate). Compare Gujarati નીપજવું (nīpajvũ), Hindi निपजना (nipajnā), Sindhi نِپَجڻُ / निपजणु, Sinhalese නිපදවනවා (nipadawanawā, transitive).
