[edit]Inherited from Prakrit *𑀞𑁄𑀓𑁆𑀓𑁆 (*ṭhŏkk) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀭- (-ra-). Cognate with Punjabi ਠੋਕਰ (ṭhokar), Nepali ठोकर (ṭhokar), Gujarati ઠોકર (ṭhokar), Bengali ঠোকর (ṭhōkor), Marathi ठोकर (ṭhokar).
