[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀛𑀼𑀝𑁆𑀞 (jhuṭṭha). See there for more. Cognate with Gujarati જુઠું (juṭhũ), Punjabi ਝੂਠ (jhūṭh), Bengali ঝুঁঠ (jhũṭh) and Odia ଝୁଠ (jhuṭha).
