[edit]From the completive aspect forms of जाणणे (jāṇṇe) and an earlier बुजणें (bujṇẽ) / बुझणें (bujhṇẽ) from Old Marathi 𑘤𑘳𑘖𑘜𑘹 (bujhaṇe, “to understand”). Compare Hindi जानबूझकर (jānbūjhkar).
