[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘑𑘳𑘦𑘜𑘹 (ghumaṇe), from Prakrit 𑀖𑀼𑀫𑁆𑀫𑀇 (ghummaï), from Ashokan Prakrit *𑀖𑀼𑀫𑁆𑀫𑀢𑀺 (*ghummati). Compare Gujarati ઘૂમવું (ghūmvũ), Hindustani گُھومْنا (ghūmnā) / घूमना (ghūmnā), Sindhi گهُمَڻُ / घुमणु, Marwari घुमणौ (ghumṇau), घूमणौ (ghūmṇau), Punjabi ਘੁੰਮਣਾ (ghummṇā) / گُھمݨا (ghumṇā), Braj घूमन (ghūman), Nepali घुम्नु (ghumnu), Odia ଘୁମିବା (ghumibā), Maithili घुमब (ghumab) / 𑒒𑒳𑒧𑒥 (ghumaba).
