गोष्ट
Appearance
Marathi
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi गोष्टी (goṣṭī, “incident, conversation”), from Sanskrit गोष्ठी (goṣṭhī, “conversation”).
Alternatively, Hypercorrection of गोठी (goṭhī), from Prakrit 𑀕𑁄𑀝𑁆𑀞𑀺 (gŏṭṭhi); see discussion. (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
