Borrowed from Classical Persian گلبت (galbat), ultimately from Amharic ጀልባ (ǧälba).

1. gallivat, a type of ship

   मराठा गुराबा आणि गलबते ब्रिटीश ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनीच्या जहाजांवर हल्ला करायचे.

   marāṭhā gurābā āṇi galabte briṭīś īsṭa iṇḍiyā kampnīcyā jahājāuvar hallā karāyce.

   Maratha Gurabs (Grabs) and Galbats (Gallivats) used to attack British East India Company ships.
