[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘎𑘰𑘝𑘨𑘲 (kātarī), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀓𑀢𑁆𑀢𑀭𑀻 (kattarī), from Sanskrit कर्तरि (kartari), कर्तरी (kartarī). Related to कातरणे (kātarṇe).
