[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘎𑘰𑘕𑘯 (kājaḷa), from Prakrit 𑀓𑀚𑁆𑀚𑀮 / कज्जल / ಕಜ್ಜಲ (kajjala), from Sanskrit कज्जल (kajjala).
