Etymology

Related to Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀓𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀭 (kakkara), from Sanskrit कर्कर (karkara). The retroflexion of r > ṛ is not regular. Doublet of कंकर (kaṅkar).
