Borrowed from Prakrit 𑀙𑀢𑁆𑀢𑀻𑀲𑀁 (chattīsaṃ), from Sanskrit षट्त्रिंशत् (ṣaṭtriṃśat). For the preservation of /r/, see ތިރީސް (tirīs).
