[edit]From ܨܒܝܢܝܐ (ṣeḇyānāyāʾ, “willing, voluntary”), from ܨܒܝܢܐ (ṣeḇyānāʾ, “will, desire”), from the root ܨ-ܒ-ܐ related to willing + the abstract noun suffix -ܘܬܐ (-ūṯāʾ).
