From the masculine imperative of ܦܵܐܹܫ (pāˀēš, to remain) +‎ ܫܲܝܢܵܐ (šaynā, safety), literally remain in safety; compare Arabic مَعَ ٱلسَّلَامَةِ (maʕa s-salāmati).
