- woe, alas: A very low to mild expression of annoyance, anger, frustration, irritation, surprise, or shock.
- ܘܵܝ ܡܵܐ ܐܝܼܬ݂ ܒܘܿܟ݂؟ ― wāy mā īṯ bōḵ? ― Whats wrong with you?!
- ܘܵܝ ܠܝܼ! ܒܪܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܒܘܿܟ݂ ܡܸܢܕܝܼ؟ ― wāy lī! brē lēh bōḵ mindī? ― Woe unto me! Did something [bad] happen to you?
