[edit]From the older form ܒܲܪ ܚܡܵܗܹ̈ܐ (bar ḥmāhē, literally “son of parents-in-law”), the second element being the plural of the archaic ܚܡܵܐ (ḥmā, “father-in-law”), now ܚܸܡܝܵܢܵܐ (ḥimyānā).
