- ānā kē bāˁēn bbṣīrā ḥamšā yaldē.
- I want at least five kids.
- ܒܒܨܝܼܪܵܐ ܚܕ݂ܹܐ ܠܝܼ ܡܸܢܹܗ. ― bbṣīrā ḥḏē lī minnēh. ― At least I am happy with it.
Usage notes
[edit]- The following both translate into English as “at least,” but they are used differently:
- ܒܒܨܝܼܪܵܐ (bbṣīrā) describes a minimum amount or quantity;
- ܟܲܕ݂ ܙܥܘܿܪ (kaḏ zˁōr) always introduces a limiting restriction on the scope of the sentence.
