[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian گُرْدَه آلُو (gurda ālū, “apricot, kidney-shaped fruit”)[1] or another Iranian language,[2] from گُرْدَه (gurda, “kidney”) + آلُو (ālū, “peach”).
