[edit]Cognate to Telugu గిచ్చు (giccu), Gondi కిస్కానా (kiskānā), కిచ్చానా (kiccānā) and possibly Elamite [script needed] (šiška, “to draw off”). (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.)
