Etymology

From South Slavic, perhaps via Albanian plaçkë (“loot, booty”). See also Bulgarian пля́чка (pljáčka), Romanian pleașcă and Serbo-Croatian pljȁčka / пља̏чка.

1. loot, booty, spoil, plunder, goods seized from an enemy with violence

   Synonyms: تاراج (tarac), چاپول (çapul), غنیمت (ganimet), یغما (yağma)

2. broody, broody-hen, a female bird in the condition to incubate eggs

   Synonym: قولوچقه (kuluçka)
