- جَاءَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، فَنَهَاهُ، فَتَهَدَّدَهُ النَّبِيُّ؛ فَقَالَ: أَتُهَدِّدُنِي؟"
- jāʔa ʔabū jahlin ʔilā n-nabiyyi wahuwa yuṣallī, fanahāhu, fatahaddadahu n-nabiyyu; faqāla: ʔatuhaddidunī?"
- The Father of Ignorance [once] came to the Prophet while he [the Prophet] was praying, and he scolded him, and so the Prophet threatened him, upon which he said, "Are you threatening me?"
- 1999 February 15, Al-Ahram:
- صَدَّام يُهَدِّدُ بِمُهَاجَمَةِ ٱلْقَوَاعِدِ ٱلْعَسْكَرِيَّةِ فِي ٱلسُّعُودِيَّةِ وَٱلْكُوَيْتِ
- ṣaddām yuhaddidu bimuhājamati l-qawāʕidi l-ʕaskariyyati fī s-suʕūdiyyati wal-kuwayti
- Saddam threatens to attack the military bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
