Etymology

Pseudo-Arabism from the passive participle conjugation of pseudo trilateral root ط ر ش (ṭ r š, to shave) created from the consonants of تراش (tıraş, shaving) which is from Persian تراش (shaving, noun). Also from the same pseudo root مترش (müterreş, shaven). See Persian نزاکت for a similar formation.
