[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *kemürgen (“wild onion or garlic”); cognate with Khakas кӧбiрген, Kyrgyz көбүргөн (köbürgön), Southern Altai кӧбӱрген (köbürgen), Tofa көгирҺен (kögirhen) and Tuvan көгүрөн (kögürön).
