[edit]An Aramaic loanword, attested as Jewish Babylonian Aramaic כולניתא (*kūlānīṯā, “a kind of papyrus reed”) and Punic 𐤊𐤋𐤌 (kūlūm, “common knotgrass, Polygonum aviculare”), regularly cognate to it by the Canaanite shift.
