- c. 900, أبو بكر محمد بن زكريا الرازي [Rhazes], كتاب الحاوي في الطب[1]:
- لوجع الْأَسْنَان وضع ورق الكبيكج على عضد العليل من جَانب سنه العليل سكن الوجع من سَاعَة وَإِن أحدث فِي العصب قرحَة فَيَنْبَغِي أَن يعالج بعد ذَلِك.
- For tooth-ache put leaves of spearwort onto the ill spot from the side of the aching tooth and it will attain relief from the ache within an hour and if a sore spawn in the tissue then it should be treated after that.
