[edit]From Aramaic קַצְרָא / ܩܳܨܪܳܐ (qaṣərā, “walker, fuller”), from Middle Persian [script needed] (gʾcl /gāzar/, “fuller, washerman”) whence Persian کازر (kâzar), گازر (gâzar, “fuller, washerman”).
