[edit]Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish قاچاقجی (kaçakçı) or Azerbaijani qaçaqçı. Analyzable as قاچاق (qâčâq, “smuggling”) + ـچی (-či, “occupational suffix”). Compare Urdu قاچاقی (qāčāqī).
