[edit]From Aramaic פָּתוּרָא / ܦ݂ܰܬ݂ܽܘܪܳܐ (pāṯūrā, “platter, table”), from Akkadian 𒍎 (paššūrum), ultimately from Sumerian 𒍎 (banšur).
