1. Reduplication marker of words in base form.

   ‎لايڠ (layang, “soar”) + ‎ـ٢ → ‎لايڠ٢ (layang-layang, “kite”)

Usage notes

• -2 as the Rumi spelling equivalent of this suffix used to be standard but is no longer so.
• All of the possible Rumi spelling equivalents of this suffix are still common in informal written Malay, with the form -2 being the most common.
