[edit]From طالغه (dalga, “wave”) + ـلانمق (-lanmak, suffix forming passive infinitives from stems ending in back vowels).

- (intransitive) to rise in waves, ripples, or undulations
- (intransitive) to become corrugated, wrinkled, or ridged
- (intransitive, for silk) to become watered, usually through calendering
