[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *sïgun; cognate with Old Turkic 𐰽𐰃𐰍𐰆𐰣 (sïgun), Azerbaijani sığın, Southern Altai суун (suun), Turkmen sugun, Tuvan сыын (sıın) and Uzbek suygun.
