From صاغر (sağır, “deaf”) +‎ ـلانمق (-lanmak, suffix forming passive infinitives from stems ending in back vowels).

صاغرلانمق • (sağırlanmak)

1. (intransitive) to grow deaf, to become unable or only partially able to hear
2. (intransitive, of sounds) to grow dull, indistinct, muffled, stifled, or nasal
